Why is paypal limiting my account and asking for "proof of purchase from my supplier" as if I was a merchant? I dont have a damn receipt from over a decade ago?!! I made one fu**ing auction to sell a beloved item I'd owned since 2008. do I have a receipt showing I bought it (Im sure you can answer that too)? I cant speak to anyone at paypal directly and will obviously end up just letting the account be closed because I don't have a receipt from f**king 2008. Only reason for signing up for paypal is that its required in order to use ebay and what a cluster of ridiculousness that turned out to be, and still is now with paypal treating me like a vendor.
Background: I sold a collectible item I had BOUGHT in 2008, decided to covid-19 fund raise and auctioned it off, [like an idiot for] using ebay, and I am not a business. Not only did the buyer pay way over asking price in BuyItNow (it was starting bid much lower but for some reason they wanted it for almost $200 more than it was going in auctions on ebay, with 1 hour left in my particluar 7d auction). Anyway, apparently the buyer SIMPLY had to say the product didn't come as described (claimed it was open/used), even though the buyer seeks this specialty [hard to find sealed item] according to their ebay review history AND the buyer admitted, that it was still sealed/unopened, in the ebay message communications during conflict resolution talks.
Anyway, thats moot now (thanks ebay (and now paypal) for your stellar conflict resolution processes, what a joke). Why cant i get a paypal rep to talk to to even try resolving what they are asking of me?
