Wrong Item received. SCAM

Received wrong item with no instructions how to return. I ordered a Hawaiian Quilt and Shams and got a cheap, smelly item. The company was Luxudora through rugket.com. It was shipped through Paypal from Dept CA <removed>. This is a total scam. What help is available for this type of fraud. The company is still advertising so other people will fall for this.

How do I open a dispute with a seller when a purchase goes wrong?

You can open a dispute in the Resolution Centre of your PayPal account within 180 days of payment if:
•You don’t receive the item OR service
•You receive an item but it’s significantly different than the description on eBay or on the seller’s website

By opening a dispute, you can communicate directly with your seller to work out a problem transaction.

If you reach an agreement with the seller you can close the dispute. If you're still not happy with the result, you can escalate the dispute into a claim. Paypal will review the claim and decide on reimbursement.

These steps apply to Personal accounts. If you have a Business account, please log in to see the steps that apply to you.

To open a dispute:
1.Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click on the transaction and use the resolve a problem option at the bottom of that details page.

Note:
•Generally buyers must wait at least 7 days from the date of payment to escalate a dispute for an item not received
•Where an item has not been received, please ensure you have given the seller enough time before opening a dispute

DO NOT CLOSE THE DISPUTE UNTIL YOU HAVE A CLEARED REFUND OR YOUR ITEM WHATEVER THE SELLER SAYS. ALSO DON'T FORGET TO ESCALATE THE DISPUTE TO A CLAIM WITHIN 20 DAYS IF THE SELLER DOES NOT REFUND.

If that does not work then if you funded your paypal payment via a card then contact your card issuer and see if they will do a chargeback for you.

Also make sure you have activated the below link in case you have to return the item to get a refund

I went to my credit card company. I ordered a beautiful Quilted Christmas bed spread that is a Pottery barn spread. They are even using the exact room setting. The spread came and is a polyester printed piece of crap. I was communicating with them and told them this is simply fraud. And ALL he offered me was 20% off my next order. Are you kidding me??? Then they stopped responding at all so I went to my credit card company. ALSO They have on their web site a 100% refund policy if your not satisfied! Satisfied I’m appalled $)&

I had the same thing happen to me. I ordered a quilt set but received a gross bed sheet and 2 pilow cases. Some information that may interest you. They won't offer a refund at first. They will initially offer 30% refund and 20% off your next purchase. As if you would order from them ever again. PayPal will not help you get a refund. They will instead inform you of their return shipment program and encourage you to opt in for future purchases. They will cover $30 maximum ship back costs. I will never use PayPal ever again. The company will then offer a full refund contingent upon them receiving the merchandise back....to Hong Kong. It will cost $30 to ship it back to China. Please be aware that they furnish a non specific address in Hong Kong. The likelihood of them receiving the item is slim. Address: Cosco Tower Queen's Road Central, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong island. If you ship it back, you may find yourself out the cost of the merchandise plus the shipping cost. They also go under the names Lushack.com, LuxuryLayer & MeWe Galleries Ltd. Lastly, in the end, PayPal will offer you empathy for your frustration but will do ZERO to help you. Go to your bank and try to get the reversal of charge through them. 2 things I learned- Don't buy from China and PayPal offers no protection for your purchases. Sorry for your troubles but please spread the word.

I ordered a beautiful bedspread from Luxudora and paid through paypal! It is not what I ordered...it is a duvet cover not a bedspread and looks nothing like the photo! I tried dealing with PayPal and got nowhere. I am cancelling my account and going to my credit card company to get the charge reversed.

I ordered a rug from them also and thought I was buying from California. It looked great online. When I got my paypal statement I didnt recognize the Chinese company so I disputed the charge. After a bit I realized that it was Luxudoro and billing under the name MeWe Gallery as clothing. So I closed the dispute. Weeks later I receive the rug today or what is supposed to be a rug but looks like a cheap throw for a sofa and now I can't open a new dispute on PayPal. I am so mad. That is $60 down the pipes.. They shouldn't be allowed to do business here.

Paypal is useless. Dispute it through your bank. I will never use PayPal again and I will spread the word 1 person at a time if need be until they are a defunct company.
