Was denied refund

I ordered 2 books through Ebay and within the hour cancelled the order because I found I already had those books. I emailed the seller and he stated he would cancel this order. However, Paypal took the money out of my bank account and denied a refund. I sent another message to paypal with a copy of the emails from the seller. Paypal states there was no money transaction, but there was - I looked on my bank statement and it's right there. What do I do now? Do they have a phone number I can call?

What does it say next to the transaction in your Paypal account?

1. Pending (with a clearance date)
2. Pending/Unclaimed with a cancel option.
3. Pending/Unclaimed withOUT a cancel option.
4. Payment or Sent.
5. Pending/Uncleared with a clearance date.
6. Pending awaiting authorisation.

By my order, it says "open dispute", to see order visit Resolution Center. Went to resolution center and it says "case closed" The case was closed as it wasn't a billing issue. But they did take money out of my bank account and it shows the money request was from Paypal.
