Unrecognized paypal payment in my bank account !

Hi all,

I just find there were two paypal payments in my bank account which looks unauthorized by myself and no detail information  to trace them back.

They were stated as Direct Debit, paypal payment. No more information about them on my bank app. Neither the bank cannot access to more information.

First payment occurred on 21 Nov 2018 as £7.1. Second one occurred on last Friday, 25 Jan 2019 as £32.65. I did check any subscriptions but there are nothing looks strange. My accommodation rent covers any of my daily usage bills.

A significant thing is, there are no any activity records about these two paypal payment in my paypal account. This is also a reason that why I cannot report this via resolution center as that center need me to choose an activity record.

I called my bank but they asked me to call paypal. When I called paypal, there was always an automatic robot answering, requesting my information and finally, ask me to go resolution center, where I have no activity records to report on for my problem. Some of my friends doubt if my paypal account information was revealed so that someone else just use my account for consumption.

It is my first time meet this situation. That two payments refer to a large amount for me student so I need community's help!

Thanks in advanced.

If you bought something online with a debit or credit card and did NOT log into your paypal account then of course it won't show on your paypal account as you bought as a 'guest buyer'.
However your seller may have processed that payment using their Paypal 'card reader' and so Paypal would show on your bank or card statement.

If that is not the case then contact customer services AND your card issuer to query the transactions.

If you need to open a dispute for a 'guest buyer' transaction then you can.......

1. Phone Paypal customer services and see if they will open one for you OR
2. Contact your card issuer for a chargeback.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
