Unable to ask for a refund

Hi,

I have purchased a software two days ago.

The seller sent me a malicious file with a trojan virus instead of the real software I paid for.

I opened a case on paypal but then the seller told me he would send a refund if I closed the case.

I did.

Now I'm still waiting for the refund (my guess is that I will never receive it) and I want to re-open the case with paypal.

I am not able to do so.  I always get a automatic message saying the case is not illigible.

How am I suppose to get my money back?

Thank you.

If you had to close a case to get a refund then it would be pointless opening one.
NEVER close a dispute / claim until you have a refund.
If the seller issued a refund then that would close the dispute automatically.
If he doesn't escalate to a claim.
Do not close it or he can ignore you and you can't open a second dispute OR re-open a closed one.
