Shaw Academy Scam. Is PayPal complicit?

I would like to know why PayPal has chosen to ignore thousands of reports against a dishonest e-learning company, Shaw Academy, and instead continues to process its fraudulent payments. My own report of a fraudulent charge has been denied three times, without even the courtesy of any investigation. Before I move forward reporting Shaw Academy to the appropriate UK and EU government agencies and law enforcement, I am giving PayPal another chance to respond. Are PayPal's consumer protection policies also a fraud and should PayPal be included as complicit in the crimes being committed by Shaw Academy?

I'm in the US and was also denied when I disputed the charges from Shaw Academy. I did sign up for the free month of classes and entered in my payment info. However, I was NEVER able to access an account and no one at Shaw Academy would help me because no one could figure out what email I had used to create the account. Being that I never accessed or used their classes, and I had NO WAY to access my account in order to cancel the subscription, I asked for a full refund. When they denied it, I disputed it with PayPal but PayPal denied my dispute.
I'm sorry that I have no helpful information for you, other than to offer my own experience. It's despicable that they've taken the side of this company over people who have been scammed, and if you search online you will find MANY more people just like you and I who've been scammed.
I wish you the best in taking them on.

Sadly, all I can do is report Shaw Academy and PayPal together as being part of the scam against consumers. PayPal is well aware of the issue, yet has chosen to ignore its consumer protection policy and instead process charges for criminals.

You've hit it right on the nail there mate. PayPal is absolutely not secure.
I've lost 199.95GDP to this scam. I was 2 weeks into my 4 week free trial and they straight up billed me without consent. Unfortunately, PayPal doesn't care about that. Once you click pay via paypal when signing up for the free trial, PayPal assumes you've given consent for any further payments. Another user there has recommended you cancel your payments. That is correct, though it won't help with what you've already been scammed. Call your bank right away and get them also to cancel your cards. And if it's not obvious at this point, never use PayPal again. Not worth it, not secure.
