Scammed and PayPal did not protect me.

Hello,

 

I sold an item on eBay. The buyer even left me positive feedback thanking me for the item. Sometime later I get hit with a PayPal dispute. The buyer had claimed to their credit card company that they never made the purchase. I sent PayPal the proof of my sending the purchased good and the user account leaving me positive feedback on eBay confirming receipt of the item.  PayPal decided in their favor anyway and charged me for the refund AND will hit me with a $20 chargeback fee. On top of that, I donated a % of the sale to charity so I'm out that too (I can live with that).

 

I'm so **bleep** right now. Am I out of luck?

 

I messaged a few people that he purchased from, just a few minutes ago, and one has responded already saying he scammed them and won the dispute.

Actually you have been hit with the Not received scam! So since you can no longer dispute the payment you will have to Phone PayPal Customer Service and talk to a rep so they can reopen it and you can put in the proof again as well and they will do a manual review because the robots usually review disputes on here! its a quick fix just phone Customer Service and youll be on your way with your money and PayPal will refund the chargeback fee!
 
On top of that they will also let the buyers card issuer that it was a false report and he might get backlash 🤠

I got scammed as well and have been fighting with the "Message Us" chat support for 10 days now.  xXIlIlIlIlIXx you responded in a few posts that we should "Phone PayPal Customer Service"...  

 

Is there a different number I can use to contact Customer Service on the phone? Every number I tried has told me phone support is unavailable due to Covid.

Dont lose hope, After days/weeks of fighting with the chat and providing proof countless number of times, they finally reversed judgement on my case and issued my refund.

 

Hope you guys have the same luck that I did.
