Returned a book not as described PayPal have closed the dispute as not covered

Hi I bought a book in the United Kingdom but it had a printing error part of it was printed in Italian. The seller agreed that I could return the book for a refund. I have sent the book back and have a signature confirming it has been received. The seller has not refunded me and when I opened a dispute PayPal closed it saying it was not covered by protection. I have now paid for the book and the return postage but have no refund. Any help appreciated.

It would help if you said how you paid ie which paypal option / which dispute you opened / if you escalated to a claim etc.
