Hi all,

I've just been sent a refund for an item I bought, I contacted the seller to ask for prepaid postage label to return, received no reply, but since detailed as refund given and seller given RMA? What does this mean please?

Thanks for that, I have now called and asked them to note that because the payment is complete I now do not need to return this.

If you see a refund transaction in your PayPal account activity and it is listed as completed, then a refund was issued.

Issued refunds are returned to original funding source. Arrival times may vary:

- Bank payments, 3-5 or 5-7 days, depending on your bank.

- Cards, about a week, up to 30 days depending on your issuing card.

- PayPal balance, fairly instant.

- Split payments between PayPal balance and card/bank, see above.

If seller gave you a RMA# (Return Merchandise Authorization Number) and just "said" refund given and you do not see a refund transaction for the purchase in your PayPal account activity, then you have not been refunded. If you want to dispute the transaction, then locate payment transaction in your PayPal account activity, click it, then click "Report a problem" to file a Significantly Not As Described (SNAD) dispute.

Note, PayPal generally will require you to return item for a refund but you are not entitled to return shipping costs in the dispute.

PayPal has a return shipping refund program for future purchases if this return is not eligible:

https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/refunded-returns

What is wrong with these ratchet @#$% sellers, not even able to perform a simple RMA transaction according to their own policies. It's repugnant.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
