HI There,

I am having a lot of problems with a vendor and PayPal has been extremely unhelpful and it truly is disappointing? Does anyone know how to get in touch with a customer assistant from PayPal to help with my case?

I am yet to receive a refund for an item I paid £200 for and returned but the company is not sending me my refund due tot he pandemic even though the return of the item was made before the lockdown occurred.  This is very disappointing and it is a lot of money and I feel like I am just not receiving the help from Paypal to try and get this case sorted with the vendour.

I have proof of the return and all e-mail exchanges with the vendour as well.

Please help! Thank you.

Have you opened a dispute for item received but not as described?

Did you escalate to a claim?

Did paypal find in your favour?

Did you return the item trackable and give paypal tracking?

Does tracking show delivery of the item back to the seller?

Facts are needed if you want some advice.

HI there,

I tried opening a dispute an accidentally put it under and unauthorised login - which was denied. And now PayPal is not allowing me to open another dispute in order for me to receive my refund.

I have already e-mailed the vendour and they have stopped replying to my e-mails and its been more than a month now.

A dispute for an unauthorised transaction is telling paypal that your account was hacked and used without your consent to make that transaction.
Paypal would check IP addresses and devices and close the dispute if it was you that made the transaction.

Why didn't you just open a dispute for non receipt of item to get your refund?

You are only allowed 1 dispute per transaction so the only way you can get a second dispute opened is to contact Paypal (when and if you can) and see if they will open a second dispute for you.
They may decline citing policies but if you say you made a mistake then they might open a second dispute for you.

If not then if you funded your paypal payment via a credit card then consider contacting your card issuer and see if they will help you with a chargeback?

Thank you,

Do you know how I can get in touch with Paypal?

Why is sit so difficult?  I have tried e-mailing them and phoning them and because this is such a specific case it would be better to have some direct connecting with them to discuss the matter.

I would wait until the phone lines are back up and working again.

Paypal is working with reduced staff mostly from home so you can live chat or message them.

OR

have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUK and @AskPayPal for Twitter.

OK thank you,

I just find the automated virtual messegers unhelpful as my case is pretty specific.

I'll wait until they are up and running again.
