Paypal customer service phone in back up ? When

Anyone heard when they will get their customer service back on the phones?
You would think they would post this issue and date on some front end, or tell you "this" on the automated response when you call in, but they don't. They just take you all the way through the steps, and then on the final ring through, they tell you they are closed and terminate the call.
Brutal customer service...
There are some issues that email or FAQ can not be solved with and even their chat does not work other than the automated reply version.
I have one of those issues and it's costing me.

Pretty obvious the phone lines would be down so not sure why you would even bother to try them.
Guess they will be up and running when it is SAFE to do so.

The only way to resolve my dispute is by a live customer agent this is what I have been told, and based on 20 odd emails that got me nowhere, I believe it! So while I appreciate your comments they do not answer my question or help me.

I did end up receiving a call today from one of their supervisors who had all the information and provided a resolution to my issue. Should be resolved in 24-48 hours.
Sometimes the only way to resolve things is to talk to someone. Automated attendants, and standard messaging doesn't work for all issues, just wish the automated attendant didn't take you all way to the edge then drop the line.
I'm satisfied at this point.

I just kept sending replies to their notification messages saying that:
Their standard replies do not work.
Palpal selfhelp or automated .. anything, can not help with this issue.
Their customer service center call in,.... is CLOSED.
I don't use twitter or other social apps.
And, not sure if it helped, but I did post this issue....
It did take a week for the supervisor and I to talk as he called when I was not available, when I was on the phone or from a number I did not recognize so did not answer the call.. Would have been better if there was a number I could have called but......
Just don't give up. 😉
