How likely would I be to win if I filed an appeal for my case?

So I sold a pair of shoes on eBay, and the buyer randomly threw out the term SNAD to ensure he would get a return even though I did not wrongly describe the items in any way, shape, or form. PayPal ruled in his favor and once the shoes get here, I am to give him a refund. However, he sent me a picture saying that the box was damaged while the box was in great condition when I sent it out. If I get the short end of the stick here then I lose a ton of value due to this damaged box. So I'm wondering, how likely would it be for PayPal to rule in my favor if I appeal the refund? Thanks.
