If I pay using friends and family to pay for an item, and my item does not ship, can I get my money back?

Nope.

1. There is no paypal buyer protection for friends / family 'gift' payments.

2. If you use that option to pay for goods you also 'risk' having your paypal account limited as its against paypal rules.
