I had sent a transaction to a friends PayPal, not realizing the account was old and inaccessible. I also could not cover the fees + the original transaction amount so my bank declined the transaction. A few days passed and PayPal retried the payment, and it failed. I eventually received a debit on my account balance for the price of the transaction. Earlier this week I received a payment on PayPal that covered the debit, and then I transferred the payment to my bank account. After which PayPal retried the payment and I was left double charged for the transaction because of the debit and the subsequent retry of the payment. I proceeded to dispute the original transaction and the dispute was denied because the transaction was unauthorized (I don't understand the logic?) I'm here to ask if this is intended? If it is, I question if this is even legal. Thank you in advance.
