Hi all, I have been permanently limited because I have had 3 cases opened against me which 2 were unauthorized.

I have a business on ebay and had about 7k in sales, I thought everything was dandy until they permanently limited me because they claimed I had too many cases, to my dismay I only had 3 in total so now I'm flabbergasted

Turns out there are ways to get your funds faster, raising a stink with their higherups, state regulators is what many claimed to be their success.

My question is if someone has been in the same boat in Virginia, do I just contact the Attorney general? In CA I know it's illegal for paypal to withhold funds past 10 days and claims their TOS is law, but it's not haha. I was also told by their limitations specialist that they also get fined for unauthorized payments, so in fact I dug a little deeper and turns out paypal makes interests and money off our our withholdings. It's like you buying their stock but you get 0 returns!!! It's too make money of our money 😄

TL:DR What is your success story in dealing with permanent account limitations?

File a complaint at bbb.org under PayPal San Jose CA to reach PP office of executive escalations to have them take a closer look at your account.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

I share your frustration... I may even have you beat as far as anger goes because I was permanently cancelled over sour grapes. After my 1st eBay transaction and the waiting period for buyer to give the thumbs up had passed and Paypal wanted my firstborn. After 9 days of calling every day and jumping thru many hoops, while getting different information each day. I finally did everything they asked and 10 days later got half my money ... that's another story. Fast forward to my next to the sales a week later, maybe two weeks, they wanted to start the circus again. They put a hold on my account and Paypal debit card. i couldn't even touch My own $ that had nothing to do with eBay or PayPalpay. They wouldn't even let me pay for postage through eBay site bcuz cars was limited, and I didn't want to pay at post office (but did) until I re verified everything all over again. I jumped thru the hoops, and was told someone would review in 3-5 business days. I submitted everything they asked, called to get it pushed thru, was told there was nothing they can do until 3-5 days later and I didn't have that time to wait. I wrote some pretty brutally honest and even mean emails calling them Out for making interest on us and that they are shady thieves. They got a lashing...a couple hours later they permanently cancel my account and tell me that I won't get my money for at LEAST 180 days. I know that I did nothing else wrong and they only canceled me because I was being a meanie via email so someone in back office abused their power and I'm not going to stop until PayPal's top brass look at the reason behind it and can this person or persons. I'm still steaming mad and am going to hire an attorny but wanted to see if anyone else had any success going after them and what the best way is. Can Anyone point me in right direction or am I doing it by setting up meeting with an attorney?
