CAN'T DELETE MY ACCOUNT . HELP

I WANT TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT AND ITS NOT LETTING ME CLOSE IT. I DON'T HAVE NEED FOR IT AND IT'S FRAUSTRATING ME AND DOESN'T LET ME DOWNLOAD IMPORTANT APPS I NEED FOR WORK AS IT KEEPS SHOWING USA WHICH IS A LOCATION OBVIOUSLY NOT SUPPORTED OR RECOGNISED BY MY COMPANY WHICH IS LOCATED IN THE UK. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP. I AM LOOSING MY MIND! I HATE THIS **bleep** PAYPAL. IT'S ABOUT TO COST ME MY JOB. PLEASEEEE.

Why would you open a U.S paypal account if you are in the UK?

Why did you not open a UK one?

As you can never verify or use a U.S one then it may be limited.

If its limited then you can't close it.

So does it have limitations at all?

I opened a US PayPal account while I was there. Now I have relocated to the UK and I'm unable to change the settings.

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.

You should really withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts before you move countries. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved and may need to contact customer services for help to resolve things.

There are some exceptions as some bank accounts can be linked to specific Paypal accounts in some countries.

I can’t either.There is no option to delete account under account options.  There is no customer service to answer my questions on why can’t I delete my account.  This is becoming very frustrating, No it’s a nightmare. I have no pending activities. Can anybody help me

Hi,

You may want to set up a paypal account in UK with a different email address. 

If Paypal is not closing your account, they do have a reason for that. For now, if you urgently need it for your work, I suggest you set up a new one.

If there is no option to delete then does your account have limitations on it? It will if you opened it in a country that you don't live in.
