Buyer says item arrived damaged

Hi everyone. I sold a vinyl album online. The album was sealed and the packaging appeared undamaged. This was May 15. Buyer contacted me today and claims album appears to have heat damage on each side and is warped and unplayable. Wants a refund or replacement. As item was sealed and appeared in new condition that is how I described it when selling. There was no way to check this without opening the album-- which meant if I opened it I couldn't sell it as new condition and sealed. Do I have any options? Buyer received item may 29th. Seems odd he has only just opened it...

Accept a return because that’s what PayPal will have you do if they get involved. Seller is responsible for non-delivery, sending something materially different than advertised, counterfeit goods, loss, missing items, or damages while in transit. Be open to resolve matters so you can move on.

If there is fraud with the return, buyer abusing buyer protection program, appeal the case ASAP as “buyer abuse” with compelling evidence.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
