I saw on my bank account that is linked to my PayPal account a line item that is "pending" with today's date and the dollar amount shows $0. I'm not sure what that is all about. I do not have any existing PayPal transactions. I called my bank, and they do not know why it is there either. I'm not sure if it is a fraud attempt or not. It is $0 but still has me concerned. Has this happened to anyone?

Apparently, a rep at my bank did say that whenever that happens (and they have seen this happen to many people), it is when my account has not seen activity in awhile (I last used PayPal in December), and that PayPal is checking to see if my account is still active. I don't know if I agree with that, but currently, the $0 pending line item is gone, and there has been no fraudulent activity or attemps from Paypal that indicates anything along those lines.

I have a pending $0 charge from PayPal on my checking account right now. I tried calling the transaction ID as it usually doubles as a phone number but it is disconnected. It would make zero sense if they are checking to see if my account is still active. I use my PayPal often, in fact just days before the mysterious $0 charge.
Did you ever get this resolved or figure out what it was? I am experiencing a similar situation and called paypal this morning. They have no record of any transactions or changes. I did notice the balance for my facebook marketplace sales changed and I was wondering if that is similar to the situation that you had?
