Appealing a case decision paypal

Hey all,

i would appreciate a 3rd perspective.

the outline:

-I recently opened a dispute in paypal.

-I claimed that the item wasn't as described, the reason; I purchased a phone which had an icloud account attached to it, when in the listing the seller specifically said the icloud account has been removed. the icloud is a major feature, and can't be used without it. I assume the reason the listing was for parts/not working was because the seller had said the touch id doesn't work.

-other notable points were that the listing was for parts or not working.

-I presented my case, and paypal denied the case. There was no specific reason given.

-I have rang up customer support, and they said that the item was effectively listed, and that there would be no affective appeal.

-I stated that i can provide email evidence that the seller admitted to the iphone having an account on there, and i also added i could provide photo evidence of the account on the phone.

-Neither of these would make a difference in terms of an appeal, i was informed.

My reasoning here is that the outcome isn't decided based on the accuracy of the description, but the type of listing itself?

many thanks,

kenn

In the event of an item received but not as described the item has to be SIGNIFICANTLY other than described.

Paypal has to make a judgement call and as the item was only listed as basically spare parts then in their view that is what you got.
