In 2013 when I setup my Paypal account I used my online "nickname" as did most people I guess? That has never been an issue over the years and all I strictly use Paypal for is for eBay purchases and a to pay for a couple of other online services (Server,Newsgroups,Steam etc.) Recently I've decided I want to use my real name for my Paypal account and after a few emails bouncing backwards and forwards over the past few months and sending my Birth Certificate, Drivers License, and a Bank letters god-knows-how-many-times they've now "Suspended" my account for violating the terms of conditions because the name on my Paypal account doesn't match the name on my proof of ID. Well, duh? Isn't that the whole reason I want to change my name?
I'm literally at a loss of words here after using this service for so many years to be treated this way. Now I can't create a new Paypal account on the same email or use the same bank cards, how am I supposed to pay for my online services now?

Update: So after ringing up Paypal twice, and explaining my problem to them, they have said they'll put me through to the security department to remove the limitations off my account before they can make any changes - well the line goes dead for a few minutes and they hang up before I even reach the security department?
How am I supposed to resolve this when I can't even speak to someone? I have payments coming out TOMORROW.

Update: Finally got through to an adviser on the phone and they were no help at all. Apparently because Paypal is like a "bank account" it does require a legal name so the fact I created my account under a "nickname" I have violated their user agreement.
However my issue is it says in black and white under the name change option "Use your full name instead of a nickname." Surely this is miss-leading as you'd think clicking this option would allow you to change your nickname to your full name?
So, in other words I've been **bleep** over as I won't be able to setup a new Paypal account under a different email address using my current bank account details as it'll take 72 hours to "request that my financials are removed from my account."
Time to change all my online services to another payment service me thinks.
Sorry for the rant, but I hope it's a heads-up to anyone who considers this in the future.
If you setup your account using a nickname and wish to change it - Do not bother as they'll suspend your account.
It would have been easier for me to not mention anything and just keep using a "false name."
