Account Limitation - Provide Purchase Receipt from Supplier

My account has been limited and I'm being asked for the following:

"You'll need to provide a receipt of your purchase or original receipts from your supplier for the items you sell to your buyers. These receipts should mention your purchase or procurement of items.

  • Your documents need to be valid and legible.
  • The submitted information on the documents must correspond with the information on your PayPal account.
  • Your documents should be no older than 6 months.
  • We'll handle your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • Your documents shouldn't be password-protected."

The item that I've sold was an old machine that I bought about 6 years ago so there is no way I can submit evidence which is less than 6 months old.  The supplier went into liquidation 5 years ago!  How can I resolve this please?  I've never been asked for this information before.

Thanks

In general, if you can't complete all the steps in your Resolution Centre, you can draft a document where you explain why you can't provide the requested information, and upload it to your Resolution Centre! Once all the steps have been completed, the matter will be reviewed by the relevant team.
