Account Hacked

Hello, My issue is as follows.

My PayPal account was hacked, and they changed some phone #s and added an Authenticator to my account. I called my bank and froze my account, I then called Paypal and through the automated system I changed my password. While still unable to fully log in due to the Unauthorized Authenticator, I was able to get in touch with a live person at Paypal via a chat service, after explaining my situation to her she sent my case to the "back-end" for review, 4 days later I received an email from paypal saying they have found the Activity on my account to be unauthorized and that I need to LOG IN and check the status of my case via the Resolution Center (I was given a case#) however, as previously stated I am unable to log in still due to the Authenticator still being on my account. I have created a alternate Paypal account Just for the possibility of speaking to someone who can help me.

So in summery. Locked out of account due hackers placing authenticator, need it removed so I dont starve during a pandemic...Thank you

Hi,

The same situations suits for me. Can you explain me what did you do after? I'm also hacked, locked out after they enabled that thing and want help. Please answer

Hey Staraek, sorry that this happened to you as well, It was a huge pain to deal with. I don't remember the exact steps I took to get it fixed, but I do remember that I had Paypal change my Phone # back to the original. Then using my phone # I was able to authenticate my account via text and log in, once logged in I changed the rest of my info back and took off the authenticator. Sorry if this isn't super helpful..

You give me hope. That's also helpful. I have at last some communication with them through Twitter.
