Help please>>>>>>> I have just 'joined' paypal (through ebay) linking my debit card -  I purchased something for £4.99, and paypal has paid for it with an echeque.  Can someone tell my why, and what can I do for future payments to be instant. 

I have verified my card and building society account.

It sounds to me that our internal security system may have prevented an instant funding option from being used towards this transaction on your account.

I can't be sure as to why this has happened but if you wish, you can try contacting us directly and we will be able to investigate this further on your behalf. 

We will be able to determine why the payment hasn't gone through instantly and we can also try to assist you with ensuring that future payments will be sent instatly.
