i need to pay for two items on ebay, and when i sign in, it asks for my card details, and then when i enter them it says they are being used by another account. whats going on.

Hey there bgan87,

There are a few other verification steps to get back into your account other than the card.

Once you get in you can check what card you have registered.

Please see the example below on how to access your account by phone. For this you need to select you have an issue with both password and email address.

If you don't have access to your email account, you can try to confirm your account ownership by phone.

1. Click on the 'by phone' link on the 'We just emailed you' page.
2. Select a telephone number from your account.
3. Select 'Phone me now' or ‘Phone me in about a minute’ if you are ready to receive a telephone call.
   Enter an email address where you can receive further instructions from us.
   Click 'Continue.'
