Hi - I am looking to buy a new part for one of my machines. I did purchase one back in September paid for by bank transfer but the item never arrived, basically scammed.
I have since found another company based in the USA who have said I can pay via payapl the cost is about $1400. Is this covered by buyer protection? Its a cas of once bitten twice shy, I dont want to make the same mistake twice!
Thank you

Buyer protection does cover you for items not received or items received but not as described for UK and international payments.
BUT
It is not a "cover-all" and you need to read up on buyer protection before purchasing as there are always some risks.
eg if the item arrives and is damaged then if paypal find in your favour you may still be asked to send the item back at your own expense to the seller and they can't force the seller to repay you those costs as even if they are business sellers you can't pursue international sellers. Paypal can only get back for you the original payment processed through them.
