Since when did Pay-pal force you to use your account balance instead of the option of alternative payment methods.
Previously (in the last 3 months) I have used both methods with no problems while carrying a balance.
Now Pay-Pal forces me to use my account balance first. I wish to have the choice of either which I have used in the past.
If this is the way PP forces me to use their service then I will not use their service anymore and make it my business to tell others not to use PP.
I have been a loyal PP customer since 2003 with no issues until now!
Thank you PP for NOT giving me the choice anymore!!!!!
What a crappy way of operating a business.

I know...Today I bought something online and am shocked that the payment was taken from my credit balance ( which doesn't have enough money in it to pay for thecomplete order ) and the rest of the payment is "pending" the approval/confirmation of my bank account. In the meantime, I have listed a credit card which should be used for the payment ( all or part of it) and paypal didn't use it. I am so confused and peeved off! I can't find answers anywhere!

I thought it was just me - that I didn't know how to use the credit card feature because I have just added it recently. What is the point of adding a credit card unless you can choose to use it instead of your deposited balance?

I also have the problems mentioned by others. When I buy something, I don't seem to have
control over whether money is debited from my bank account or Paypal account. The result, like
other people, I recieved an NSF bank charge against me too.
Therefore, I lost money . NOT GOOD.
The solution...keep enough money in both accounts. Don't bother calling Paypal or Ebay.
You're just wasting your time and money.
Hello, Paypal ???
Why don't you post your own official answers to these questions instead of having us customers bicker between ourselves?
Paypal should hire people from Apple computer to show them the meaning of CUSTOMER SUPPORT.
Be Cool People.

Wow that **bleep**. I only sell on eBay now and then and in the past have waited for feedback/a grace period (where i assume they are satisfied) until using the funds, but atm there are a couple of things i'm watching that end before my buyer will have received the item, so googled refund options/if you can choose to use card instead of balance, but as you say you can't so if i buy something before feedback, then the buyer requires a refund, i guess i'd have to add funds to my account (as long as there was no processing time) or send them an extra payment - with allowances for transaction fee. Kinda harsh but i guess paypal is a business and an online bank so whatever.
