Payment Splitting?

Is it possible to pay for a eBay purchase using two different sources?  For example I use my credit card for half and the other half would come from my back account?

Welcome to the boards!

While a payment can't  be split in such a manner, there is a roundabout way to do this.

If you add funds into your balance first, and once the funds are there, make the payment.  Select the source of the payment as your card, and the balance will be eaten up first and the remainder charged to the card.

The balance does have to be in the same currency as the payment you are sending, so make sure to complete any necessary conversions in your Profile first.

Thanks!

Excellent question!

eChecks work differently than almost all other transfers - they can't combine with the balance, so a payment made via eCheck must come from the bank in it's entirety.

Coincidentally, you can make the choice to bypass your balance when using PayPal Smart Connect or the PayPal Extras MasterCard, but this setting has to be chosen by the account holder.

Thanks!
