. Is it necessary to have a credit card registered to my paypal account if I have my bank card registered? My credit card is about to expire and I'm thinking of not bothering with renewing it as I never use it. I always have enough in my paypal account to buy whatever I need. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks in advance.
If you don't want to add a credit card you can add your debit card instead.
Although a debit card is registered directly with your bank account on PayPal we treat your debit card as another funding source.
You do need some card on there though as it’s used as a backup funding source to your bank account, although you may use your PayPal balance most of the time it would still be best.
