Buying a Motorcycle on eBay

Hello,

I've just purchased a bike off of eBay, I've been speaking to the seller for over a week now, I've had a friend who lives close to the seller to check the bike out for me, all is good. I'm going to have to pay him through paypal or bank transfer, and then arrange for the vehicle to be collected.

How can I be 100% sure that he will not just take the money and go?

Do I get him to send the logbook first?

Am I say with paying through eBay / Paypal?

I just need a bit of guideance, thanks!

There is no buyer protection on paypal for motor vehicles.

But bank transfer would be no safer.

So if you decide to go ahead with paypal make sure that you fund that payment via a credit card so that you reduce risk.
