Error message when trying to cancel invoice I sent

Hi!

I'm trying to cancel a partially paid invoice I sent to someone. I keep getting an error message that says this:

The invoice selected does have an email address attached to it (that's how I've received the partial payments). The only other option I've found is to archive it, but I need to actually cancel the invoice all together. Any ideas?
