Bill Me Later - Promotional Financing not given

I made a purchase at Adorama.com in October 2010. The Adorama website advertised "No Payments & No Interest for 6 months on purchases over $250" when using Bill Me Later to pay for the purchase. The promotion was also advertised on the Bill Me Later website. I completed the purchase using Bill Me Later and have received the item I ordered. I received my statement from Bill Me Later last week and they did not give me the promotional financing. They have the purchase listed under "standard purchases" and I have a payment due next month. I signed in to my BML account and sent a secure message to customer service and 2 days later I received an email from them saying that they will take 10 days to research it. I also called them and they confirmed they are investigating and I also sent them a letter by mail explaining the problem. I sent them printed copies of the Bill Me Later website which shows the Adorama promotion. The person I spoke to on the phone said they should have the reasearch done by Nov. 2 and the problem should be corrected. We'll see what happens. The issue I have here is why this problem would happen in the first place. I completed a smooth transaction on the Adorama website and I checked the box which said I want to pay using BML and I want the 6 month no payments/no interest financing. It's one of the promotions advertised on the BML website. How could they make a mistake like this? Were they trying to scam me? Is it the bait and switch scam?

This is only a suggestion to persons who feel they are getting scammed, or you feel your being caught up in a bait and switch situaion. 1. Keep copies of all transactions and offers, 2. If you have to call anyone about anything, get their name, the date you spoke to them, there id, if possible or extension, and the time you spoke with them. 3. If for whatever reason you have not been given what your were offered, try to resolve it with customer service, don't forget get that person's name, 4. If the situation is not being resolved to your liking, contact corporate office of the company and speak with someone in corporate who can see what is going on, give them some time to check on it, at least 30 days, If you still are not getting anywhere, 6. File a complaint, make 3 copies of it ,. Send one to the division of corporation in the state in which the company is located,, the second copy to the fcc, and the third to the attoreny generals office of the state in which the company is located. Trust me,once the company gets notified from one of the three they will respond, or risk a lot more than your situation. I know from experience. Good Luck. Don't give over your power so easy

Bill Me Later was able to correct the problem and my account now shows the correct promotional financing. It's been a few days and I have not received any email for mail from them telling me they corrected it. Thanks to BML for fixing the problem but I wish I didn't have to contact them in the first place.
