I am trying to set up my new paypal account and it's telling me my cc number is linked to another paypal account. WHY IS THAT??? I've never used my cc for any type of PayPal account in my life. Can anyone help?
I just got the same problem, and no one will talk to me about it because I don't have a phone (just email). I just got the bloody credit card like three months ago, too. Oi, Paypal! How are we supposed to get our credit cards off other people's accounts?
. They will respond. it may take a little bit like 24 hours but they have been really good to respond.
They will need you to verify your account. Also i would suggest talking to your bank. If your credit card is linked to another account they can resolve the issue on their end as well. To see who the other account owner is, paid for on your credit card to paypal by running your credit card number through their system.
I did that... they emailed me back with a canned answer telling me to call them. Seriously. I even specified in the email I sent them that I didn't have a phone.
I have a feeling this is going to take forever to fix.
I'm keeping an eye on the credit card, though. If I have to cancel it a second time I'm going to be a very sad camper.
