Added new credit card & cannot removed old one

I'm having same problem as some others.  Added new credit card to my account and cannot delete old one.  When I hit "remove" button next to old card, a message "cannot delete funding account while authorizing" appears.  I'm concerned because even though my old card doesn't expire until the end of January, the card is no longer valid.  Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm having the same problem, only the message I receive when attempting to remove an obsolete debit/credit card, is that  a transaction is pending.  I have no pending transaction, and this bank account was closed over two months ago. That card is no longer valid, and it has been destroyed.  Has anyone been able to resolve this kind of situation?  I'm wondering if someone obtained this old card# illegally, and tried to make a PayPal or ebay purchase with it, and that's why "pending" keeps showing up when I try to remove it from the PayPal listing ???
