im selling phone thru gumtree buyer requested my personal email rather than going thru gumtree mail , they want to buy phone and send me xetra 20 pound for postage to south africa as they say they work in airport and its for there cousin do i give them my paypal details ive had various other offers and strangely many of them say they work in airport is it just me or is this dodgy , please help
Never accept anything else then sending items to the registered PayPal address of the buyer.
Gumtree is a classified ads listing place. Those kind of places are well known targets for scammers in Africa. I would say stay away and only sell to people in the UK.
