cant receive paypal payment from ebay buyers

i changed my username on ebay and also my email address which i also did on paypal but since then people who have purchased things from me on ebay havnt been able to pay via paypal. its like my paypal account is no longer connected to my paypal account. i have confirmed my emay address with the link and i cant see why there is a problem.  when they try any pay by paypal the timer comes up and says payment pending but when i click on see payment details iand it goes to paypal it says this transaction link is invalid.  i know this is  a long winded explanation but any help would be good.  should i just close my paypal account and set up another one?? :-S

OK you changed your email addy on paypal and ebay BUT i bet you didn't pop it in the paypal box DURING the listing process.

Go to ebay to check > do a pretend sell just as far as you need to go to be able to scroll down to the payment section > now look in the paypal box and odds are its the old addy.

If so come back for more advice, i would post it now but it takes time and i then find no one bothers to come back and tell me if the problem is solved.

OK what you need to do is to change the email addy in that paypal box next time you list an item and then check its correct every time you list after that.

Now to sort your buyers out.

Do you  still have access to the old email addy? If so add it to your paypal account and the money will come with it as you can have up to 8 email addys on the 1 paypal account.

If thats not possible then ask you buyers if it states unclaimed WITH a cancel option in their paypal account next to the transaction they paid to you. If so get them to cancel but tell them it will take a few days to go back to their funding source.

If they are happy then you can reinvoice them with the correct email addy but don't link it to the ebay auction or it will default to the old one.

If they don't have a cancel option next to unclaimed then come back for more advice.

hi just read your advice on last comment as i have the same problem i have looked to do what you said but mine is not showing unclaimed still showing pending for the last 4 days. i also changed my address after listing but i havent yet verfied the 2 amounts in bank yet so could it be that. My buyers are getting impatient now so i need to sort it out asap so please somebody help me thanks a lot

Have you checked the eBay listing to make sure your  new email address was the one used in this eBay listing?

Hello, I have recently set up a paypal account, and have just sold a couple of items on ebay. The payments are pending, for a couple of days now, and the customers are asking why the payments are not claimed yet. I have bought items on ebay with  no problem. Could you tell me what it could be?

Hi there siavash80,

If your PayPal account and your eBay account use the same email address, you can link the accounts.

Here’s how to link your PayPal and eBay accounts:

1. Go to www.ebay.co.uk and log in to your eBay account.
2. Click ‘My eBay’ at the top of the page.
3. Click ‘Account,’ then click ‘PayPal Account.’
4. Click ‘Link My PayPal Account’ to go to the PayPal website.
5. On the PayPal website, enter your PayPal account password and click, ‘Link My Account.’
6. Click ‘Return to eBay.’ 

What is the issue you are having receiving payments? Check the email address in your eBay listings & make sure it is an active and confirmed email address on your PayPal account.
