cancel a declined payment

hi

I want to cancel a refused payment from debit card, I'd contact the seller already and i cancelled the item from my e bay, now paypal ask me to add  a bank account direct payment to transfer for the transaction but I do not want to buy the item anymore, so i need to cancel the transaction from my activity, anyone knows how to do it? please help!!!!

Welcome to the Community Forum! If your original payment was declined, we won't attempt to take the payment again. The denied payment attempt should disappear from your account's recent activity within the next 7 days.

 

If the seller sent an invoice or payment request to you, you should be able to cancel it from your PayPal account.

 

Here's how to cancel an invoice or money request:

 

  1. Go to www.paypal.com/uk and log in to your account.
  2. Click History near the top of the page.
  3. For the money request you want to cancel, click Details.
  4. Click Cancel Invoice or Cancel Money Request.
  5. On the confirmation page, select whether or not to send the recipient an email, and click Yes.

I'll tried that before but the only button show on the details page is the return to history, there are no other options, if you have more suggestion let me know

Hi nicolabedini,

 

If the only button you are getting is return to history it usually means that there is no action to taken on the transaction.

 

As I cannot see your account here I would recommend giving customer service a call and they will be able to give you more information on what is happening with this.
