Paypal users please beware of a scam Email regarding payments to Skype Inc. I have just received an Email supposedly from Paypal regarding payment for 3 months subscriptin to Skype Inc. The Email states that if you have not authorised this payment then please click on "cancel payment" button.
Please ignore this Email as I do not believe this is from Paypal as it does not state my name, ebay membership or Email address as the recipient - it simply welcomes the Paypal Client.
Also when I clicked on cancel payment it redirected me to another site which I immediately closed without entering any personal details.
Thanks Pam

I have just had this email also. I clicked the dispute link and logged in but when asking for all my details I thought something didnt seem right so have now changed my password.
The reason it draws people in is the fact Skype is free but they do charge for some services so seeing them putting a charge through makes you think I have not used any of their pay services so I need to dispute this claim.

Its still going on! I received one today " Number change - Please confirm now". On going into I was told I had sent a payment of £34.69 to Skype. NO 'cancel payment button' but a "dispute claim button".
I'm no computer whizz at all ( i dont know how to download pictures from my camara!!! Sad aint it?) and have a sense of anger at been 'mugged off' by someone. **bleep**.

soooooo glad i have come on the msg boards and seen all these msgs about the skype scam. I have been getting these emails for well over a yr now for either £39 or £41 and have just been ignoring them but it still made me a bit uneasy everytime i get them.
was even thinking of shutting down my paypal account altogether at one point!!!
