I have a customer from Italy who wants to buy something from my online shop for approximately £4500.
I am in theUK, so is my Pay Pal account.
Can this customer make this payment using the Pay Pal Guest option?
They don’t have an active Pay Pal account yet but need to make the payment immediately due to delivery timescales.
Thanks in advance for your help guys.

Hi there,
They can make a guest payment however you need to be sure you are covered under our seller protection policy.
Not all transactions are eligible for PayPal Seller Protection. If a transaction is eligible for PayPal Seller Protection, you'll see 'Eligible' or 'Partially eligible' on your 'Transaction Details' page.
Here's how to see if your transaction is eligible for Seller Protection:
- Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
- Click 'History' near the top of the page.
- Find the transaction, and then click 'Details.'
- Under Seller Protection see if your transaction is eligible.
With 'Eligible' transactions, you are fully protected if your buyer doesn't receive the item you shipped or if an unauthorized payment was made.
With 'Partially eligible' transactions, you are fully protected if a buyer doesn't receive the item you shipped. A 'Partially eligible' transaction does not protect you against unauthorized payments.
Other eligibility requirements:
- The item must be a physical, tangible good that can be shipped.
- You must ship the item to the postal address on the Transaction Details Page.
- You must retain proof of postage or proof of delivery in accordance with the Seller Protection requirements.
To learn more about PayPal Seller Protection, click 'Legal Agreements' at the bottom of any PayPal page, then click 'User Agreement for PayPal Service'.
