Payment Not coming through

Hello, 

Recently I had a friend who owed me an amount of money, and they sent it through paypal last night - they have a paypal account themselves that has been set up

However I have yet to recieve the payment through, and double checked my own email address before giving it to them to send me the money to my paypal account.

Can anyone explain to me where this money will have gone? I tried to use the request money system but it came up with email not valid utf-8 emails not accepted.

From other people I have successfully recieved money using the email that I use now so please, explain. I can note the amount of money sent but would rather send this privately for confidential reasons. I will also give full information as to the emails if nesscary

Hey there nates23,

Once the funds have been sent to the correct email address and that email address is confirmed on your PayPal account they will clear into your PayPal account balance.

The only other thing, seen as you have received funds from other people, is that the payment has not been sent.

Ask the sender can they cancel the payment, if they can then you know they have used the wrong email address.

I've got feedback from the friend sending it me, they've cancelled payment and decided as she triple  checked email to send it through post - not happy with service in this case

Hi there Nats23,

That is very strange in my opinion as if they sent the payment to your correct email address, it should have been credited directly to your PayPal account.

The only other thing that I can think of is if you were receiving the payment in USD and you did not have this currency active on your PayPal account. Either way though, if this was to happen you would have received an email advising what you need to do.
