PayPal fails to transfer money from Bank Account

Hello all,

 

I have used PP for a long time, but only recently I have gotten this on all recent purchases:

I believe it is to do with direct debit, as I got the email saying payPal has now removed my bank account because of this happening continuously...I did cancel 2 direct debits on my bank account, but surely that should not hurt PP?

Hi there Themanhunt, 

 

It sounds like you have cancelled your direct debit with PayPal which means all of your pending transfers will fail. 

 

You will need to remove and re-add the bank account to PayPal to allow you to set up the direct debit again.

 

Once you have removed the bank account and re-added it, you follow the steps below:

 

Here’s how to confirm your bank account:


1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
2. Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
3. Click 'My money'.
4. In the Bank accounts section click 'Update'.
5. Click ‘Confirm’ next to the bank account you want to confirm.
6. Click the 'Set up Direct Debit' button.
7. The next page will display your bank details. Enter the full address of your bank account, then click ‘Submit'.

Once you've clicked 'Submit', we'll send two random deposits (both between 1p and 99p) to your bank account. These deposits are at our expense and you'll find them on your online bank statement within two to three working days, or on your next paper statement .

Yeah I guessed that that was what I had to do. Done it now, just waiting for the 2 amounts to appear on my bank account.
