No payments received.

So I've concluded a bunch of sales on EBay and according to the Ebay interface, most of those sales have sent their payment.

According to my paypal page, those payments havent been received.

At the same time, I need to complete linking my bank account to my paypal account - but the payments that should have been sent by paypal to my account for verification havent shown up in my lloyds bank account.

Please can someone take a look and help me out?

Thanks

This is a community forum for advice, no one here can look at your account....be very relieved at that.  Smiley Wink

Firstly can you do this.

Go and find the transaction in your “my ebay” > click to the right where it says sell similar > scroll down to the payments section > look in the paypal box > is the email addy in there correct with no spelling mistakes?

If no spelling mistakes then have you verified the email addy on paypal??

The payments to verify your account can take about a week to show up, have you allowed enough time?

Ive gone to:

More actions > view order details for these orders.

It says that the payment has been initiated through Paypal but when I click on "view paypal transaction" it says that the transaction ID is invalid.

No email address is displayed on the View Order Details page.

As far as I can tell the right address is linked to my ebay account but frankly the menus are labrynthine with no easy check. The first and last letter of the displayed PP address is right though.

Until you checked what the email addy is on the auction  i can't help you.

Im at my Ebay SOLD page, ALL tab.

The rightmost column reads "View paypal transaction". Clicking on that link gives me an "error- login  - the transaction id is invalid" link to paypal.

Clicking underneath "view paypal transaction" is the "more options" dropdown. I selected "view order details". No email address is display on the "view order details" page, just a Paypal image box and a note that the payment is being processed.

On this page, when I click "view paypal transaction" again, I get an "error-login transaction ID is invalid" page.

On Paypal when I go to options to check if my account is linked to my ebay account, it says that it is.

On My Ebay > Account > Paypal Account, my paypal email address is displayed as "s...k@gmail.com".

OK lets try it another way.

Go to ebay and click on SELL > put in anything as a pretend sell > just go as far as you need to go to be able to scroll down to the PAYMENT SECTION > now look in the paypal box > is the email in there correct with no spelling mistakes?

It shows up as @googlemail instead of @gmail which is what it should be.

At last we are getting somewhere.....you do realise i am missing part of my film answering you   Smiley Wink

OK then can you do this.

Firstly can you add that email addy to your paypal account, as you can have up to 8 on the one account if you do the payments will come with it.

If not then you need to contact your buyers and ask them to see what it says in there paypal accounts either:

1. Unclaimed with a cancel option.
2. Unclaimed.
3 Completed.

If its:
1. Then ask them to cancel the payment but tell them that it will take a few days to go back to their funding source if they funded their original payment with a debit or credit card. Then get them to use the "send money" > Goods option and pay to your email address. Tell them DO NOT use the ebay option or it will direct them to ebay checkout and the same thing will happen.
2. If there is no cancel option then the buyer will get their money back automatically 30 days after paying if it remains unclaimed. You will need to sort out between you if you want to still go ahead with the sale or cancel it.
3. If its completed then come back for more advice.

Then next time you list an item for sale change the email addy during the listing process and check everytime.

Also to help you sort things with your buyers you can pull their contact info if its an ebay transaction. Go to advanced search top of ebay pages > contact member left column > fill in the details and ebay will send you an email with their telephone number.
