How do I know what transaction rate I will pay?

Hi
I can't see anywhere that tells me what transaction rate I will pay when I make a sale. As a charity, we should be paying the charity rate of 1.4%+20p fee. I have marked us as a charity when signing up, but it has not asked for a registered charity number or anything.
I want to make sure we will be paying this lower rate before we start selling as we cannot afford to lose money. Will paypal automatically charge me the charity rate or do I need to register with Paypal as a charity somehow?
Thanks

Hi there Sarah1986,
Welcome to the community!
The charity rate is subject to application and pre-approval and it's not something that is automatically granted.
We offer a special fee rate for charities. Receiving donations with us costs just 1.4% + 20p. If you run a non-profit organisation you can apply for this rate.
To apply you need to have a Business PayPal account and have identified your business category to be ‘Non-profit’ in the 'Business information' section of the 'My business details', found on the 'Profile' page.
You will then be contacted and asked to provide some documents to assist us with our review. The following are some of the documents you may be asked to provide:
• Evidence of tax-exempt status and/or registration with any applicable regulatory bodies governing your jurisdiction
• Link to confirm the organisation's registration status online (if applicable)
• A brief organisational summary or Mission Statement
• Subordination letter from the parent organisation (if applicable)
• An authorisation letter on headed paper, signed by an official member of your organization
• A detailed explanation of how you'll be using the PayPal account and what type of payments you'll be processing
To be eligible for charity rates your PayPal account must be Verified. To get Verified, log in to your account and click the 'Unverified' link on the Account Overview page. Once you get verified please contact us at compliancedd@paypal.co.uk. We'll review your application and notify you of the outcome.
I hope this answers your question
Wayne
