Hi there,

I am new to Paypal (and eBay) and I have bought a few things, I was expecting instant payment as I had my account verified. However I checked today and the payment is pending as the money is being withdrawn from my bank, I have now added my bank card for instant payments in the future but is there anything I can do to speed the outstanding payments I have up to help avoid negative feedback?

Thanks,

Paul

hi.now u have added ur card u should be fine.    The problem was and still is that p/pal~ebay(same firm by the way) want to be able to get hold of any fees that you owe them without having to ask you.    Also if they want to refund money to somone who complains they will just take it from you (even if you dont agree).   I do not know how new  u are to "FRANKENSTEIN ebay"(thats a group i tried to start, take a look) but u are in for a rocky-ride.    Ebay have created a monster that they cannot control (beleive me),cheers, david

Hey there Paulm1212,

Have the funds been sent as eCheque through PayPal?

The reason I ask is if it was not sent as an eCheque then your seller would have been paid instantly, and PayPal will wait to get the funds back from your bank account when it clears.

Any payment funded by your bank account does take few days to leave your bank account.

If the payment was sent by eCheque, having your card (back up funding source) confirmed will significantly reduce the chance of eCheques being sent again.

And once you have your card registered you can use your card to fund your payments which should leave your bank account instantly (depending on your bank)

I hope this helps.
