Fees on ebay payments received??

Heklp. Haven't ebayed for a while but I've sold a few things recently and just looked at the payments I've recived. Say I've sold something for £1.99 - I've noticed paypal deducting 20p from the payment. Is this the final value fee or is it an additional deduction?

Hi there woolardhome, 

The standard fee to receive a payment is 3.4% + 20p so I believe this is what you are referring to.

PayPal offer a separate fee structure for Verified Business/Premier merchants who only accept small UK to UK payments.

The fees are 5% + 5p per transaction so this may be more suited to you.

Here’s how you can sign up for micropayment pricing:

1. Go to our micropayments website at https://micropayments.paypal-labs.com
2. Click ‘Signup.’
3. Select the appropriate country.
4. Click ‘Login here.’
5. Enter your PayPal account password and click ‘Log in.’

Allow 2 business days for the micropayment pricing to take effect.
