Balance shows funds, yet I can't make payment

I went to make a payment to my landlord and was told I needed funds in my account, despite havinga debit card attached to the paypal account.

Then after adding the funds from my bank account ( UK account, am in Canada at the moment) which showed up within minutes in my paypal balance as completed, when I go to make the payment I am told I need to have funds to make the payment.

I have paid from a UK account £380.00 to my PayPal account then am try to pay $600.00 Canadian to my landlords canadian email/bank account

Please help! I am confused and need help urgently, also would rather not pay the international calling fees to the help line.

If you are paying from funds in your paypal balance they have to be in the same currency as the currency you are wanting to send....ie dollars for dollars etc etc.

You may have to use the currency converter in your paypal account but there will be a fee!!!
