PLEASE BE AWARE. PAYPAL IS BREAKING THE LAW WHEN THEY DONT GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY WITHIN ONE DAY. COMPLAIN TO THE OMBUDSMAN. YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT!!!

Directive 2007/64/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 November 2007, otherwise known as the PSD was recently amended.  Article 69 of the PSD establishes that a payer’s payment service provider (PSP) must ensure that a payment is credited to the account of the payee’s PSP by the end of the next business day after the point in time of receipt of the payment instruction. This particular PSD provision, commonly referred to as ‘D+1’, comes into effect on 1 January, 2012.

Loosely translated, BY LAW ALL MONETARY TRANSFERS MUST ARRIVE IN THE RECIPIENTS ACCOUNT NO LATER THAN THE DAY AFTER THE WITHDRAWAL WAS MADE. This has been the law for most EU states, UK included since JANUARY 2012. Put another way, Paypal has regularly been breaking EU directive knowingly and willingly for the last 7 and a half months. As such, every single person who receives their payment in any more than 24 hours has a valid cause for complaint to the Ombudsman.

I have been with paypal 8 years now, lately since July 1st it seems that the £5 fast withdrawal button has dissappeared, replaced by one button allowing fast transfer.

All well and good used a few times no problem, Till last weekend when the withdrawals were held "for security reasons" phoned up paypal to be told this was automated, so tough.

Money gets through 1-2 days later so must be clear I assume, this weekend have children visiting so do a withdrawal saturday morning, guess what today sunday (24 hours later)  still "processing" on the paypal site, needless to say no money yesterday to treat kids etc etc.

What really angers me here is the change of timings Paypal keep instigating.

I transfer money from lloyds to barclays in minutes by this fast system weekend or weekday no difference.

BUT IF paypal keeps adding tricks like "security check" OR "Processing time"

How the **bleep** are we all meant to plan with small cash flow

I paid five pounds for a withdrawal on Thursday for it to be in my bank account by the Friday at the latest. It's now Monday, and I still don't have my money. Where the **bleep** is it???? I have children to feed. Stupidly, I beleived that the payment would arrive promptly so am now in a situation where I have actually got 0 cash, and paypal hve my money somewhere in the ether.

Ive been on the phone again to Paypal this morning.  I now have 4 withdrawals that are all stuck in the Processing Status!  One has been in this status since last Wednesday.

The guy at Paypal told me there has been a "technical error" with Faster Payments and they are having to process them all manually so we are stuck in a queue now whilst they sort them out. He was unable to tell me how long this would take!!

He did say, however, the technical error has been resolved and any payment withdrawals now would go straight through. NOT TRUE!!.  I have since tried to withdraw a small amount just to test it, and it is again stuck in Processing.

Interesting to note that when I phoned them yesterday afternoon, the other Paypal guy that I spoke to, didnt say anything about a technical error.

Im at a loss as to what to do now.  Is anybody else having these problems or are Paypal just  fobbing me off? Smiley Mad

I transferred £600 from Paypal to my bank account on Friday at 2:00pm. By 7:00pm that evening the transfer was still 'processing'. Monday morning and it was still lost somewhere in the ether. I logged an email enquiry and got an automated reply that my case would be looked into urgently. Not convinced, I called Paypal to complain and the agent I spoke with seemed quite surprised at the 'technical fault'. He assured me he'd pass the case along to the technical dept and have it resolved as fast as possible - and certainly within 24 hours. As of 7:00pm this evening - no progress. Will phone again tomorrow if the funds haven't cleared!

After a 20 min phone call to Paypal I'm still nowhere nearer to finding out where my money is!  Being a Paypal user since 2004, I thought they are better than this!

I made a withdrawal on 6th July to my bank account I've used for years.  Status says completed.

Contact my bank and they say there has been no attempt to transfer / deposit funds.

Now, Paypal say I've got to wait till Friday, it being the 14th working day after the transaction to 'trace' the funds.

They say to keep checking my account from now till Friday to see if the £170 appears back in my Paypal account or in my bank account.

After this stunt, I'm losing any faith and trust I have left in Paypal.

Hello!

I'm waiting now for 7 days on my money to be transfered to my credit card? I usually wait 2-3 days but now I wait 7 days?

Where is my money?

How could I contact paypal without calling them?

Via e-mailI receive generic answers every time.

Very frustrating. Thanks
