"We couldn't confirm your identity"

I'm new to paypal and I want to add money from my checking to this paypal account. I clicked on "Add Money", filled out the blanks, and I get this? Why? What do I do??

 

We couldn't confirm your identity

There was a problem with some of your info. Sometimes this is because of a recent move or name change.

You can shop or send money with your linked bank or card, even without a balance.

If you still want to add money, go to the Resolution Center to confirm your identity.

Firstly have you 'added' and confirmed your bank account on paypal with the 4 digit code?

Have you set up the direct debit mandate?

 

Secondly you don't need to add funds to your paypal balance as a buyer as paypal will take direct from your funding source (once its set up).

Its probably easier for you to add a debit or credit card > verify it > then you can go ahead and pay during checkout and paypal will take direct from your card.
