I am really unsure of where you get the idea that you are not a good advisor from. My complaint was and always has been with Paypal. Your involvement as a volunteer advisor initially suggested to me that you were acting on or on behalf of Paypal hence my comments were initially aimed at you because of your title but, I clearly laid that to rest with my last email to you when I thanked you and also explained the reason for my comments. If you feel you need to take responsibility for how Paypal behave to it's customers that it is very regrettable but, whilst my initial comment about the price of the calls was directed your way because of how it was worded when I saw your title and you used the CONTACT US, it was solely based on the assumption that you were asking me to contact YOU and not the " contact us " as used by Paypal. I can say no more than what I said in my previous email and that was thank you and to further add that you are incorrect in your assumption that I think you are not a good advisor. However, for your information Paypal are regulated within the UK, firstly by the Financial Ombudsman who deals with any Paypal Customer who has an individual complaint against them or on a Company level by the Financial Conduct Authority. Paypal may like to suggest that complaints should be directed to Luxenburg, which would probably suit them but, they can be directed and dealt with within in the UK by these bodies

Contact us bottom of paypal pages > use the call us option on the left (fees apply so check the cost with your phone tariff first, as you sometimes have to wait a while to connect).
When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent.

What do you mean check fees. 0800 is a free number and there's is no mention that fee's apply. I HAVE CURRENTLY BEEN HOLDING FOR NEARLY 20 MINUTES NOW!!! I really hope you are not charging me for this call otherwise it's the FSA who will get the next call.

Please don't be rude to someone trying to help....I do not work for paypal i am just an ebay seller that helps out here.
I told you to go to "contact us" to check you are using the correct number. Fees often DO apply if you are phoning from some other tarriffs....eg mobile phones.
FSA does not regulate paypal, its regulated internationally in Luxemborg.
From the number of posts on the board in the last hour there is a system issue with withdrawals hence maybe your problem and also the number of calls being put through to paypal at the moment.

Bazil , PP are having huge withdrawel problems this morning, personally i would wait for an hour and let them resolve that issue, the phone lines are as to be expected in meltdown over panicking account holders, its just a technical glitch, it happens. Your problem may even clear itself once theyve resolved the issues today.

Thank You.
Firstly I was not being rude only annoyed at the complete failure of Paypal. I would also expect that someone who is a volunteer for Paypal would know that Paypal changed their policy with regard to calls. 0800 numbers are free and Paypal no longer charge for calls to them. Also all financial services acting in this country are regulated The FSA was abolished in April 2013 but Paypal still have to answer to the new body the Financial Conduct Authority which took over from the FSA with regard to complaints about them.
I have now spoken to Paypal and they have a failure. Sadly their technical poeple have not put out a message to that effect as requested so no doubt 100's or if not 1000's of their customer like me are getting very upset about the matter, especially since they are being emailed by Paypal that their banks are refusing to accept payments and on top of that they get charged 50p for a total lie!!! It's paypal who have the problem and they are doing very little or nothing to advise their customers about it. The advice I was given was try again later. JOKE!!! I asked what if it's refused again and I'm charged another 50p. Reply.... email us and we'll refund. This is a massive company who want trust. They fail to advise when a fault occurs and incidentally they have known that card updates have been failing to take effect for weeks so it's becoming even harder to trust this company with our money or to keep customers properly informed. ENOUGH SAID!!

By stating in a rude manner that "I hope YOU are not charging me"............ implied you thought i worked for paypal.
Also 0800 numbers are sometimes NOT FREE ON SOME PHONE TARRIFFS. Hence my warning to TRY AND HELP YOU NOT TO WASTE MONEY.
As for an advisor knowing everything..........we don't get any "training"...we don't work for paypal. It is advice we give only based on our own experiences...... the advisor status is "given" when you have helped folks and been on the board for a while........you don't ask for it and don't know when you are going to get it.

For those interested in who regulates paypal the following feed may help:-
http://www.mukaumedia.co.uk/paypal-who-regulates/
It does not make good reading for Paypal but at least it lets Paypal customers know the problems and although Paypal probably don't want you to know that the FSA and FCA were and are involved in their business practices they are if you want them to be..
