TELL THE TRUTH PAYPAL ABOUT OUR WITHDRAWALS

Paypal what a load of bull it is happening to all accounts and just about every transaction it is not random. You should tell the truth. It is wrong that you keep this money it is our money. You are using the wording SECURITY CHECK as a loophle so that you can hang on to the money for as long as possible to get more interest. The fact is you are not doing any security checks .I will be making a formal complaint to the CSSF about this  as the new ruling is that monies should be paid straight away into current accounts and this took affect on th 1/1/12

Technically, all accounts are covered by Faster Payments and the new EU directive.

Accounts where the cash should be instantly available include:

  • Current accounts
  • Standard savings accounts
  • Credit card accounts (where payment is made to clear or reduce a balance)
  • Payments to HMRC for tax

It is time to tell your customers the truth it is a loophole you are using to hold on to our money

Hi

Sorry to jump on this thread, but I was just wondering if somebody could help as I have just had my withdrawal request put "under security review".  Is it that the payments never go through, or do they just take the 72 hours and then a bit more?

It's the first withdrawal I've done since the new system came in and before it just used to be "you'll get your money in 2-3 days" and it came through in 2-3 days; there was never a problem.

Is it anything to do with the seller?  I only ask because I haven't yet handed over the goods (it's arranged for Thursday night) and if it's something to do with the Seller then I'd rather wait.

Thanks

I made a withdraw yesterday, and while I expected the 24 hour delay, what I didn't expect them to tell me it'll take the old fashion 2 - 3 days. I'm livid. Genuinely needed the wee gift from my Mother to afford getting to and from work, as well as my groceries. Kinda put off by the whole thing.

I use eBay a couple of times a year and mostly because I need some extra cash fairly quickly.  I sell my items, get paid via paypal (and they take their cut) and try to withdraw to my bank account, only to find out that the payments are under review.  I need to have the money into my account as I may have direct debits that need paying only for them to be returned as the money is still with paypal.  So, I may get charged by my bank for returned direct debits whilst paypal still hold the money that should be in my bank to cover this.  This seems to happen every time I use eBay/paypal and I'm getting sick of it.  I ring paypal only to be fobbed off as they say its policy and I get selected randomly but I seem to get selected every time.  The whole point of me using eBay/paypal is to get some cash into my account as quickly as possible (2 hours they advise) only to find out that I can't have access to my own cash!!!!

Now I have an item that was delivered 10 days ago. Was tracked etc. and now they are showing that the sale is being refunded. What?? Neither I nor the buyer has asked for a refund. How can they track and show delivered and then this? This just happens to be a larger sale. Coincidence??? Hold for 10 days past payment. I have 50 positive feedback and 0 negative etc. How much in interest are they receiving from these delays. They bound to get a "class action" lawsuit. Someone (s) in the executve suite needs to be fired!!!

If you get a PayPal debit card you wont have the problem with the delays-also, it appears that this problem is prevalent in the UK

They have lost the same payment twice now. It's almost been a month. They're ignoring emails as well
