Recent withdrawal queries

Hi everyone,

I'd like to apologise about the delay in giving an update on this. We have been investigating your queries and responses.

Nowadays, we aim to withdraw money to your bank within 2 hours of you initiating it from your PayPal account. This is much faster than before.

However, our system delays a small amount of withdrawals for security reasons. These will usually take 21 hours to complete, a very small amount can take 72 hours. These will show as being “under review” in your PayPal account.

You can find the small print in our UA in section 6.2.b.3.

P.S. While I hope this sheds some light on the situation, I understand your frustration and confusion. I’ll make sure to forward your feedback, too.

I asked the question if this is an automated review how on earth can a computer take 21 hours to process what is a basic search function - Funds in from usual source (ebay) = YES: funds out to usual bank account = YES: 21 hours to process = NO NO NO!!!!! Agghhh

i have just received £1450 from someone into my paypal account, I have transfered £1400 into my bank account and now the balance in paypal is showing £0.50 and not £50 as it should. I have checked with the person who sent the money and he says he definately sent £1450. In fact, in the record of payments, paypal does show that he did pay the full £1450. However, the balance is still short by £49.50!! As there is no phone number for me to call, I do not know what to do??

Can you offer any advice?

I'm in the same situation. Withdrawed 300euro on 28 jan and still haven't got them. In the meantime, in 28 jan i withdrawed a 30euro from another client and got the money in 3-4 days.

The withdraw is marked as completed not pending or something ... and the bank explained me that there are much more people in my situation with complains to the bank but it is the paypal fault 🙂

I am so disapointed in Paypal as I made a withdrawal of funds to my bank 27 hours ago under the assumption it would be  about 2 hours for it to clear. Then after phoning Paypal and got the 'security measures' they employ means that it could take 21-72 hours to complete' answer, which now after reading all this is completely b*llocks and I was lied to by the person on the phone.

I need MY money and I do mean MY money not Paypals money.

After the latest transactions are done then Im finished using Paypal, even if I have start excepting cheques again at least I know where I stand with them.

It's preatty simple. PayPal want to avoid fraud. A lot of account will be caught now and close. It was the only way.

For the 21days have anyone read the terms & agreements when they update it? They stipulate clearely what i happening. I am having the same issue. I called for 1 amount i haven't received and 2 that are pending. The girl on the other line told me in mex 3 days i will have the transaction completed and in maximum 30 the money on card ... This is the situation people, don't complain, let's just hope this will be a one time action per account...

And for needing money ... i'm the same ... all my budget is ~30 euro, having stuck on paypal ~500euro and i need to go to dentist because i can't sleep for 3 night now but not having money for that.

I don't understand why I'm being made to wait 72 hours for review! My bank account has been verified, my customer has received their item and has left positive feedback and I've been an ebay user for more than 6 months (all the Paypal requirements for faster payments).

When I phoned Paypal customer services she said UP to 72 hours if its not done within the 1st 21 hours. This has to be either Paypals system crashing or an interest gaining reason and they don't want to own up to it.

I've passed every one of their criteria and it isn't a 1 off as I've now done 2 withdrawals and BOTH are pending review!!

I think its a joke that you have to wait for your own money. When its your only income its very hard to wait 21 hours or 72 in some cases. If paypal have enough workers the should call the person withdrawing the money within a coulpe of hours to confirm it was them withdrawing then process it instantly!

Okay so now the excuse that its random is b*llsh*t !!! just made my 3rd withdrawal in 3 days and every single one is pending review, 2 of which are past the 48 hour mark. Once these are through I will withdrawing the full account and closing my Paypal account.

I have emailed and phoned customer services several times, the emails ahve gone unanswered for 2 days now and the answers you get on the phone are just lies.
